1. Who you are contracting with
My Inner Compass is sold and operated by Maura Avery, publishing under the name Maura Leigh (“we”, “us”). By purchasing or using this website, the workbook pages, or the downloadable PDF editions, you enter into an agreement with Maura Avery. Questions can be sent to mauraavery02@gmail.com.
2. Acceptance
By continuing to use this site or by completing a purchase, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. You confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, or that you have authority to bind the organisation you represent.
3. What you are buying
The paid product is a digital download: the 118-page My Inner Compass guided reflection workbook, supplied as two printable PDF editions (US Letter and a phone-sized edition) for $19. The reading pages on this website are offered free of charge and may change or be withdrawn at any time. No physical item is shipped.
4. Licence and permitted use
Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, print, and use the workbook for your own personal reflection. You may print copies for your own use.
- Do not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the files or their contents.
- Do not upload the files to file-sharing sites, course platforms, or print-on-demand services.
- Do not remove or alter author credits, cover art, or copyright notices.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You may use this site and the workbook only for lawful, personal reflection and self-development. You agree not to misuse the site or its content, including by:
- using it for any unlawful, fraudulent, or criminal purpose;
- spamming, phishing, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation;
- posting, sharing, or generating illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, violent, or sexually explicit content;
- infringing intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- interfering with security or operations — introducing malware, viruses, or other harmful code; probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities; bypassing access controls; scraping content at scale; or launching denial-of-service attacks;
- reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code or underlying ideas;
- reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, or publicly sharing download links or workbook files;
- using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or download content;
- impersonating another person or entity, or submitting false payment information.
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend access, and terminate accounts or download links for any behaviour that violates this policy or creates legal risk.
6. Intellectual property
All text, prompts, cover artwork, design, and branding in My Inner Compass remain the property of Maura Avery. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you. Anything you write in your own copy of the workbook belongs entirely to you; we never see it.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the site and downloads available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties — including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose — are disclaimed.
8. Nature of the content
My Inner Compass is intended for personal reflection, education, and self-development. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.
9. Payment, billing, and taxes
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms. The workbook is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription and nothing renews.
10. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our refund policy for how to request one.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site and to download links if there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment or a reversed payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious misuse — including redistribution of the workbook files.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your unauthorised distribution of the workbook.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The updated version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here rather than applied retroactively to a purchase you have already made.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Maura Avery resides, and disputes will be heard by the courts of that jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
